51 more bid for DC seats

A total of 51 nominations for the 2003 District Council Election were received by the Returning Officers of the 18 districts today (October 3).

This brings to 431 the total number of nominees since the two-week nomination period started yesterday (October 2).

The breakdown of nominations by district is:

Personal particulars of all nominees including their constituency, name, sex, occupation and political affiliation will be available later at the 2003 District Council Election website (http://www.elections.gov.hk ).

A total of 400 District Council members for the 18 District Councils, one for each constituency, will be elected on November 23.
