The Director of Health, Dr Lam Ping-yan, will hold a meeting with representatives from 12 local private hospitals, the Hong Kong Medical Association, the Hong Kong Doctors Union and the Hospital Authority tomorrow (September 18) with a view to reviewing communication channels and further enhancing their collaboration in the prevention and early detection of Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS). The question of laboratory support service will be discussed at the meeting.

The meeting will be held at the Headquarters of the Department of Health, 17/F, Wu Chung House, 213 Queen's Road East, Wan Chai at 5pm.
