HK Stadium opens at 3pm tomorrow for Real Madrid match admission

*********************************************************

Hong Kong Stadium will open at 3 pm tomorrow (August 8) for the Real Madrid match and ticket-holders are strongly urged to follow the directions of stadium staff and the police to ensure that admission will be conducted in an orderly manner.

"There will be ample time for spectators to get properly seated and therefore no need for them to come extra early to queue up overnight," a spokesman for the Leisure and Cultural Services Department said.

"This long-awaited spectacular football match is scheduled to kick off at 8pm. Spectators are reminded to enter the venue through the designated entrances with their valid tickets.

"However, those without tickets are advised not to go to the Stadium. Only ticket holders will be admitted," he added.

The spokesman also called for cooperation from the spectators to observe the rules and regulations of the Hong Kong Stadium:

- not to bring in any plastic, glass, metal bottles, containers or dangerous items;

- not to bring any canned or bottled drinks;

- to refrain from smoking; and

- to follow the instructions of stadium staff and the police at the scene.

Apart from that, they are advised to use public transport to travel to the stadium. Motorists who are not attending the match should avoid the area if possible.
