Acting Postmaster General's Speech

***********************************

Following is the speech for the Acting Postmaster General, Mr Tsang Kwok-lam, at the Launching Ceremony of International Fulfilment Service for Australian Natural Products today (July 11)

Mr. Peter OBSORNE, distinguished guests, colleagues and friends from the media,

Good afternoon.

Thank you for joining us in this ceremony to mark the launching of the International Fulfilment Service for Australian natural products. By leveraging on our delivery and logistics competence, Hongkong Post has successfully launched the Wine Fulfilment Service last year in collaboration with our counterpart in Australia, the Australia Post.

Today, we are pleased to announce that other unique Australian natural and health products are also brought to Hong Kong exclusively by our International Fulfilment Service. These products include the natural pollen, certified organic avocado oil, medicated honey and sandalwood oil, wildflowers as well as premium boutique wines. Members of the public can now order these exclusive quality products at post offices, through mail order or through our Internet shopping mall. The ordered products will be delivered to your doorstep within 2 - 5 business days, even with all duties and charges paid for wine orders. You can now relax and enjoy the shopping convenience made possible by the Hongkong Post International Fulfilment Service.

Driven by our values "to excel through development and innovation", Hongkong Post will continue to work with our business partners and bring you other quality products and services via the International Fulfilment Service.

It is our privilege and pleasure to work with Australia Post and Australia Trade Commission in making this service launch possible. It is the close cooperation and joint effort of all parties concerned that have made today's launching a reality. I trust that the new natural products from Australia will be well received by the public in Hong Kong.

Thank you.
