Following is a transcript of the Secretary for the Environment, Transport and Works, Dr Sarah Liao's meet-the-media session today (July 10):

Dr Liao : It is a shocking incident and it's really regrettable and I feel very sad about the whole thing. We are doing our best now to save the injured and we are trying to divert traffic as well in this very busy corridor. As to why the incident has occurred, the government would be very vigilant and do a thorough investigation. We'll do it and ask KMB to first of all carry out this investigation. I would like to express my deepest sympathy to the friends and relatives of those who are injured. We will give every assistance we can.
