Homicide in Lei Muk Shue

Police are investigating a homicide in which a 65-year-old woman was found dead in her flat in Shek Lei Estate this (July 8) afternoon.

Initial enquiries revealed that the case came to light at about 3.30 pm when a 32-year-old man went to visit his mother at Shek Cheung House, Shek Lei Estate.

After gaining access to the flat with spare keys, the man found that the door of the bedroom was locked from inside.

Feeling suspicious, he made a report to the Police.

After the bedroom was forced open, the man's mother was found lying unconscious on the floor.

Her hands were tied up with ropes while her bloodstained head was covered with a towel.

She was certified dead at scene.

Signs of ransacking were detected in the flat.

Investigations by District Crime Squad of Tsuen Wan are proceeding.

Police are looking for the deceased's 17-year-old grandson who lived in the flat but has disappeared.
