Consultation sessions on commemoration of the fighting spirit against SARS

Members of the public are invited to participate in the three consultation sessions organised by the Advisory Committee on the Promotion of the Fighting Spirit against SARS to express their views on a consultation paper recently released by the Committee.

Secretary for Home Affairs, Dr Patrick Ho, who is the Chairman of the Advisory Committee, will chair the consultation sessions.

The consultation paper was released by the Committee on June 18 to gather views from the public on the spirit demonstrated by Hong Kong people in the SARS crisis, the appropriate ways to commemorate the spirit, and the suitable timing to commemorate and promote such spirit.

Details of the consultation sessions to be held this week are as follows:

Hong Kong Region

Date: June 24 (Tuesday)

Time: 5 pm - 6:30 pm

Venue: Activity Room 1, Ground floor, Hong Kong Central Library, 66 Causeway Road, Hong Kong.

Kowloon Region

Date: June 26 (Thursday)

Time: 8 pm - 9:30 pm

Venue: Function Room No. 2, 4th floor, Administration

Building, Hong Kong Cultural Centre, 10 Salisbury Road, Kowloon

New Territories Region

Date: June 27 (Friday)

Time: 8 pm

Venue: Exhibition Gallery, 1st floor, Kwai Tsing Theatre,

12 Hong Ning Road, Kwai Chung
