The Secretary for the Civil Service, Mr Joseph W P Wong, said today (June 1) that he was deeply saddened to learn the death of Ms Wong Kang-tai, Ward Attendant of the Prince of Wales Hospital.
"Ms Wong was a dedicated and committed medical staff member. She has given up her life in the fight against Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome. On behalf of the Civil Service, I offer my deepest condolences to Ms Wong's family.
"The Civil Service Bureau will make every effort to help Ms Wong's family to get over this difficult time," he said.
