Police arrested a total of 47 women during an anti-vice operation in Mong Kok which concluded early this (May 16) morning.
Officers attached to the Special Duty Squads of Mong Kok together with officers of the Immigration Department mounted a series of raids in various locations in the district starting from 11 pm yesterday (May 15).
The operation concluded at 4 am today, resulting in the arrest of 47 Mainland women, aged between 17 and 32, for breach of conditions of stay. All of them will be handed over to the Immigration Department for follow-up actions.
Meanwhile, officers also seized a total of 111 vice signboards during the operation.
A Police spokesman reiterated that Police would conduct similar operations on a regular basis to stem out all vice-related activities.
