Following is the transcript (English portion) of the media session given by the Financial Secretary, Mr Antony Leung, after meeting with members of business chambers at the Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce this afternoon (April 15):
Question: (about the measures to be taken after meeting with business leaders)
Financial Secretary: They have proposed a lot of ideas. They centre around a number of areas. Most of which really is reducing the cost of doing business for the business sector because they express the feeling that a number of sectors are very heavily affected by atypical pneumonia. So they wish the Government to take measures to help the business sector so that they can better cope with the current situation. The Government is considering a number of measures and a number of options. We will announce those measures hopefully in the foreseeable future.
