The Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government has appointed five new members, namely Mr Peter Lee Shung-tak, Mrs Justina Leung Ngai Mou-yin, Professor Jimson Chan Wing-tai, Mr Chan Hak-kan and Mr Chan Yung, to the Commission on Youth (COY) for a two-year term starting April 1, 2003.

Meanwhile, the COY Chairman, Dr Philemon Choi Yuen-wan, and two serving members, Dr Alice Lui So Yee-lai and Mr Joseph Lee Chung-tak are re-appointed for a two-year term starting from the same date.

The COY is an advisory body set up to advise the Government on matters relating to youth. Members are drawn from a wide spectrum of the community to facilitate co-operation and exchange ideas on youth-related matters.
