The Chief Executive, Mr Tung Chee Hwa, and his new team of Principal Officials, non-official Executive Council members and Permanent Secretaries will hold a one and half day leadership retreat on July 27 and 28.

"The retreat is to provide a conducive environment for senior members of the new administration to foster effective teaming, to share thoughts on the challenges ahead, and to deliberate how the Chief Executive's policy goals may best be taken forward," a Government spokesman said.

"We will take this opportunity to examine ways to reinforce liaison and dialogue between the Administration and various sectors of the community. Policy formulation through creative approaches will also be discussed," the spokesman said.
