The Town Planning Board (the Board) today (June 28) announced amendments to the approved Lam Tsuen Outline Zoning Plan (OZP).

The major amendment includes the rezoning of several areas near Kau Liu Ha Village, She Shan Tsuen, Tong Min Tsuen, Lam Tsuen San Tsuen, San Tong Village, Sha Pa Village, Ping Long Village and Chai Kek Village in Lam Tsuen from "Agriculture" and "Green Belt" to "Village Type Development" to meet the increasing demand for Small House developments. The other amendment involves the addition of the 'Social Welfare Facility' use under Column 2 of the Notes for the "Green Belt" zone.

The Lam Tsuen OZP No. S/NE-LT/6 incorporating the amendments is now available for public inspection at the Secretariat of the Board, the Sha Tin, Tai Po and North District Planning Office, the Tai Po District Office and the Tai Po Rural Committee.

Any person affected by the amendments may submit a written objection to the Secretary of the Board, 15th Floor, North Point Government Offices, 333 Java Road on or before August 28, 2002.

Copies of the draft OZP are available for sale at the Map Publications Centres in North Point and Yau Ma Tei. The electronic version of the plan is viewable from the Board's website (http://www.info.gov.hk/tpb).
