The Government announced today (April 30) the appointment of Professor Chang Hsin-kang, JP, as Chairman of the Culture and Heritage Commission for the period April 1, 2002 to March 31, 2003.

The following persons are appointed in their personal capacity to be Members of the Culture and Heritage Commission for the period April 1, 2002 to March 31, 2003:-

Dr Simon Kwan Sin-ming

Ms Lam Joy-shan

Professor Lee Chack-fan

Ms Lo Kai-yin

The Honourable Ma Fung-kwok

Mr Tai Hay-lap, BBS, JP

Mr Van Lau, BBS

Ms Ada Wong Ying-kay, JP

Ms Annie Wu Suk-ching, SBS, JP

Mr Allan Zeman, JP

The following will be ex-officio Members of the Culture and Heritage Commission from April 1, 2002 to March 31, 2003:-

Chairman, Antiquities Advisory Board

Chairman, Board of Governors of the Hong Kong Arts Centre

Chairman, Hong Kong Arts Development Council

Chairman, Council of The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts

The Secretary for Home Affairs and the Director of Leisure and Cultural Services will also sit on the Culture and Heritage Commission as Official Members.
