An Entertaining and Educational Magic Show: "Harry Wong Magic Made in Hong Kong"

*********************************************

Presented by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department, "Harry Wong Magic Made in Hong Kong" will be staged from April 18 to 20 (Thursday to Saturday) at 8pm and April 21 (Sunday) at 3pm at the Hong Kong City Hall Theatre. From wonderful and surprising magic tricks, Harry Wong leads the audience to the sublime of the magic - Love and Hope.

The story is about an adventurous young boy, who is gifted in the art of magic and his journey of self-discovery. From ridiculous to sublime, there are tricks with meaning, tricks which stir emotions, tricks that break boundaries and prove possibilities, and also an attempt to break the world record of 250 magic illusions in 4 minutes and many more.

Harry Wong explains, "This is a 100% local production. I will work with talents in stage, scriptwriting, music and directing. I believe this magic show is not just an IQ challenge but mentally challenging. It's a one man magic theatre with two hours of serious surprises, impossible illusions and mayhem madness. And it is certainly a theatrical experience which pushes the envelope of possibilities as well as brings laughter, shock and surprises, senses of beauty with music and movements."

Harry is an all-round artist who has been a well-known television children entertainer since 1985. He joined the Radio Television Hong Kong in the mid 80's and was one of the first bilingual radio personalities for Metro Broadcast (104 FM Select). He is a talented musician as well as an experienced magician in Hong Kong. Apart from being one of the founder members of Hong Kong's International Brotherhood of Magicians Ring 277, he is also a member of the Magic Circle in England and the Society of American Magician.

Moreover, in 1994, Harry competed in the Federation of Magic Societies which took place in Japan. Ever since then, Harry presents various magic performances in his very own style - a blend of comedy and music knowledge which he learnt during his musical training in the Royal School of Music in England. Serious magic with a lighthearted approach is Harry Wong's Magic.
