Invest Hong Kong's Mike Rowse wins Communicator of the Year Award

The Director-General of Investment Promotion at Invest Hong Kong (InvestHK), Mr Mike Rowse today (November 29) received the PRWeek Communicator of the Year Award 2001.

The Communicator of the Year award is an annual award organised by PRWeek, a reputable trade magazine for the public relations industry worldwide.

The winner of the award is nominated and judged by senior public relations professionals in Asia Pacific. The 2001 PRWeek Award received over 150 nominations from across the region.

Mr Rowse said, "It is a great honour to receive this award, particularly as it comes from Asia and Hong Kong's top professional communicators. I accept it on behalf of all my colleagues at InvestHK who have worked so hard in the past year to tell the world what a dynamic city and a business hub we have here. Asia's World City - if we are getting this message across then we could not be more pleased."

Mr Rowse is the first Hong Kong Government official to receive the PRWeek Communicator of the Year Award.

Former winners of the award include Group Executive Director of Standard Chartered PLC, Mervyn Davies; Chinese Premier Zhu Rongji; and Australian Olympic athlete Cathy Freeman.
