Homicide and wounding in Wong Tai Sin

Police have arrested a 77-year-old man suspected to be connected with a homicide and wounding case in Wong Tai Sin this (July 23) afternoon in which a 73-year-old man died and a 51-year-old man was injured.

At about 4 pm, a man attacked a 51-year-old man at a sitting area near Lung Hong House in Lower Wong Tai Sin Estate with a chopper. The injured person collapsed outside Lung Chak House.

The man then attacked another 73-year-old man in the vicinity of Lung Hong House with the same chopper before he was later subdued by Police officers sped to the scene.

Sustaining multiple chop wounds, the two injured persons were rushed to Queen Elizabeth Hospital where the 73-year-old man was later certified dead.

The motive of the attack is under investigation and the arrested man is still being detained by the District Crime Squad, Wong Tai Sin, for enquiries.
