The Returning Officer received two more nomination forms for the Legislative Council Hong Kong Island by-election today (November 2), the deadline for the nomination exercise.

The two candidates are Mr Shi Kai-biu, a company director and an independent candidate; and Mr Simon Lo Ching-cheung, a senior sales manager.

This brings to six the total number of nominations received during the nomination period from October 20 to November 2.

The other four candidates are Mr Christopher Chung Shu-kun, a full-time District Council member and a member of the Democratic Alliance for the Betterment of Hong Kong; Ms Jennifer Chow Kit-bing, a full-time Eastern District Council member; Ms Audrey Eu Yuet-mee, a senior counsel; and Mr Paul Tse Wai-chun, a solicitor.

The by-election will be held on Sunday, December 10 to fill a seat in the Hong Kong Island geographical constituency.
