Chief Executive's transcript

Following is the transcript (English portion) of the media session given by the Chief Executive, Mr Tung Chee Hwa, in Beijing this (October 26) morning:

Reporter: European Parliament Report on Hong Kong highlighted several ... concerns ...

Mr Tung: Let me tell you this. Hong Kong's economic freedom is one of the best in the world. It's the same or better than any of the advanced countries. Secondly, Hong Kong's rule of law, independence of our Judiciary, and the protection of human rights are also as good as any of these countries.
