Police confirmed that a total of 26 male illegal immigrants were found in a container during a routine check by the Customs officers at Kwai Chung Container Terminal last (October 18) night.

Further enquiries revealed that the container is scheduled to be shipped to California in the United States tomorrow (October 20).

Police are still looking into the route taken by the illegal immigrants.

The case was handed over to the Organised Crime and Triad Bureau for follow-up action.
