A Government spokesman announced today (September 22) that the Chief Secretary for Administration, Mrs Anson Chan, will visit Beijing on September 26 (next Tuesday).
When in Beijing, the Chief Secretary will call on Central Government leaders and meet with officials of the Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office of the State Council to discuss matters of mutual concern to Hong Kong and the Mainland. Details are being finalised.
The Chief Secretary will be accompanied by her Administrative Assistant, Ms Alice Lau; Principal Assistant Secretary for Constitutional Affairs, Ms Mable Chan; and Assistant Director of Information Services, Mr S Y Tam.
