The Honourable Chief Justice Mr. Andrew Kwok-nang Li met the Britain's Lord Chancellor, Lord Irvine of Lairg, this morning (September 11) at the Court of Final Appeal (CFA).

They had a useful exchange on various subjects of mutual interest and the Chief Justice thanked the Lord Chancellor for the contribution of the British Law Lords to the work of the CFA.

Since 1997, the Hong Kong and the British Judiciaries has maintained a good relationship and the visit by the Lord Chancellor has further enhanced this.

The Lord Chancellor is on a three-day visit in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region from September 10-12.
