Following is a statement issued by the Chief Executive, Mr Tung Chee Hwa, today (August 11):

I am deeply saddened to hear of the death of Mr Leung Kam Kwong, Senior Immigration Officer. Our deepest condolences go to his family and loved ones at this sad moment.

Mr Leung was an outstanding member of our Administration. He demonstrated much professionalism and courage in carrying out his duties loyally without any fear. He will be missed by all his colleagues.
