School heads are invited to nominate teachers of their schools to attend seminars on AIDS for secondary and primary school teachers to be held this month (November).

The seminars, jointly organized by the Education Department and the Department of Health, will provide teachers with basic knowledge about AIDS, precautionary measures against HIV infection in schools and teaching methods and resources for AIDS education.

The seminar on AIDS targeted at secondary school teachers will be held on November 22 (Monday) and the one targeted at primary school teachers on November 23 (Tuesday). Both seminars, in three-hour duration, will be held from 2 pm to 5 pm at Room G01, Hong Kong Teachers' Centre, 4 Pak Fuk Road, North Point.

A circular, together with nomination forms, has been sent to schools earlier to invite school heads to nominate teachers to attend the seminars.

Submission of nomination forms should be addressed to the Science Section, Advisory Inspectorate Division, Education Department, Room 1208 Wu Chung House, 213 Queen's Road East, Wan Chai.
