The Electoral Affairs Commission (EAC) has today (Saturday) submitted to the Chief Executive, Mr Tung Chee Hwa, its report which contains recommendations on the delineation of geographical constituency boundaries for the 2000 Legislative Council election.

"The Administration will study the EAC's recommendations carefully and seek the decision of the Chief Executive in Council as soon as possible."

"The decision of the Chief Executive in Council will be gazetted in the form of an Order, which will be tabled in the Legislative Council. A copy of the EAC's report will also be tabled in the Legislative Council within 30 days after submission to the Chief Executive," a HKSAR Government spokesman said.
