The Chief Executive, Mr Tung Chee Hwa, will leave Hong Kong on Sunday (October 17) and proceed on leave until October 21 (Thursday), a Government spokesman said today (Thursday).

Mr Tung will start his vacation after attending the official ceremony to commemorate those who died in the defence of Hong Kong on Sunday morning. He and Mrs Tung will take a vacation in the Mainland.

While Mr Tung is on leave, the Chief Secretary for Administration, Mrs Anson Chan, will be the Acting Chief Executive.
