$100,000 Reward for Information on Missing Girl

Police are offering a reward of $100,000 for information leading to the location of a girl who has gone missing in Mong Kok since last August.

The nine-year-old, Leung Wan-wah, arrived at one of her friends' house on the eighth floor, Sun Tai Mansion, 1-6 Sham Chun Street, Mong Kok, at 9.30 am on August 21, 1998.

About an hour later, she left and indicated that she was going to visit a friend at 3 Nelson Street, Mong Kok.

Both her family and Police failed to locate or contact her since then in spite of the extensive enquiries conducted so far.

The girl is about 1.2 metres tall, of thin build, with a pointed face, short hair and fair complexion. She was last seen wearing a blue T-shirt, a pair of dark blue sports, white socks and white sports shoes.

Anyone who knows the whereabouts of the girl or has informaion relating to her disappearance is urged to report to any Police Officer, Police Station, or call the Police Hotline 2527 7177, or write to General Post Office Box No.999 or by E-mail to crimeinf@police.gcn.gov.hk.

The reward which is valid until June 29, 1999 will be paid in full or pro-rata to any person or apportioned among persons giving information leading to the arrest and satisfactory prosecution for any offences disclosed in connection with the disappearance of the girl.
