Stamp distribution network expanded

***********************************

The distribution network for Hongkong Post's stamp booklets has been further extended to Circle K convenience stores and Shell's filling stations from today (Monday).

This helps to provide better and more convenient service to the public as well as to serve different needs of customers.

Starting today, the public can purchase stamps from all Circle K outlets and the Shell's filling stations. This is in addition to the existing distribution network featuring convenience-store-chain of 7-Eleven and the Daily Stop's outlets located in MTR stations.

This expanded distribution network offers access to Circle K's outlets in housing estates, providing round-the-clock convenience to residents. Drivers can also enjoy the convenience of purchasing stamps at all Shell's filling stations. Most of these stations are operated on a 24-hour basis.

A signing ceremony was held today to commemorate the occasion during which Assistant Postmaster General (Business Development) Mr Allan Chiang, Chief Executive Officer of Circle K Convenience Stores Mr Richard Yeung, and Retail Marketing Manager of Shell Hong Kong Ltd Mr Herbert Yim were present.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr Chiang said it was encouraging to see more commercial organisations, each of them with unique business operating characteristics, bringing in better and more convenient services to serve the different needs of customers.

Three types of stamp booklets, including 10 stamps in denomination of HK$1.30, HK$2.50 and HK$3.10 respectively, will be available for sale at all Circle K convenience stores, Shell's filling stations, 7-Eleven convenience stores and Daily Stop's outlets located at MTR stations.
