Chief Executive's duty visit to Beijing

The Chief Executive, Mr Tung Chee Hwa, will leave Hong Kong for Beijing on Thursday (October 15) evening for his annual duty visit. He will be accompanied by Mrs Betty Tung, Private Secretary to Chief Executive, Mr Joshua Law; Press Secretary to Chief Executive, Miss Au King-chi, and Special Assistant to Chief Executive, Mr Chan Kin-ping.

During his stay in Beijing, Mr Tung will call on CPG leaders.

Mr Tung will leave Beijing on Saturday (October 17) and proceed on leave until October 27 (Tuesday). Mr and Mrs Tung will take a vacation in the Mainland.

When Mr Tung is on duty visit and on leave, the Chief Secretary for Administration, Mrs Anson Chan, will be the Acting Chief Executive until her departure for overseas visit on October 22 (Thursday). Thereafter, the Financial Secretary, Mr Donald Tsang, will be the Acting Chief Executive until Mr Tung resumes duty on October 28.
