Transcript of the media session by the Chief Secretary for Administration

**********************************************************

Following is a transcript of the media session given by the Chief Secretary for Administration, Mrs Anson Chan, after a photo-call at Government Secretariat this (Saturday) afternoon to appeal to voters to vote in the LegCo Election.

CS: Tomorrow, as you all know, is polling day. This will be the election day for the very first Legislative Council of the Special Administrative Region of Hong Kong. So it is an extremely important day. I urge all the eligible voters, and we have 2.8 million registered voters, to turn out to vote. We all hope that tomorrow, the weather will be fine. But, even if it is raining, I urge everyone to spend a little time, it won't take too much of your time, to go to the nearest polling station and cast your vote. We have, as you know, throughout the territory 500 polling stations that will open from 7.30 in the morning to 10.30 at night. So, do exercise your citizen's right and go and cast your vote. Thank you.
