Easy-to-understand materials and interesting graphics selected from a roving exhibition on the Legislative Council Election are available on the government web site.

Some of the topics include "List Voting System", the "Functions of the Legislative Council" and the number of seats and composition of the three types of constituency: the Geographical, Functional and Election Committee.

"Members of the public who are not able to go to the exhibition can surf the government web site to obtain information on the election," a spokesman of the Information Services Department said today (Sunday).

The online exhibition on the Legislative Council Election can be accessed through the Government Information Centre of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.

"Vivid illustrations have been used extensively to help people understand the details of the electoral system," said the spokesman.

"Spend a few minutes on the online display boards and you can have a clear idea of related topics like the List Voting System."

A special home page on the election has been set up since February to carry election-related messages.

The page has been updated frequently to include a wide range of information.

"We cater for the casual visitors who want a general overview and also for those who are interested in the finer details," said the spokesman.
