Terms of Reference
To advise Government on all matters relating to the education and training of social workers, including the planning of manpower to meet welfare service needs, and, in pursuing this objective, to carry out the following activities:

To advise on the need for and the provision of social work education and training in Hong Kong; |
| (2) |
to advise on the co-ordination and planning of social work education and training programmes among social work training institutes in Hong Kong; |
| (3) |
to advise on matters of evaluation and standard setting in social work education and training; |
| (4) |
to advise on the planning of social work manpower to meet the demand for social workers in Hong Kong, including examination of issues relating to such planning; |
| (5) |
to provide opportunities for consultation and co-operation among Government, social work training institutes, voluntary social welfare organizations and social work practitioners; and |
| (6) |
to support the production of indigenous social work training material for Hong Kong. |
