The nurse counsellors assess care needs of patients and plan appropriate interventions. Counselling includes providing knowledge about HIV and treatment to empower the patient to make their best choices in management of disease. On-going counselling is offered to meet the needs of individual and to provide physical and psychosocial interventions.
